Izzet signs new deal at Colchester United

COLCHESTER United skipper Kem Izzet has agreed a new deal.

The 31-year-old midfielder, who just ended his testimonial season, signed on to stay at the U's on Tuesday afternoon.

Izzet joined the club in 2001 and has made more than 400 league appearances for the U's.

Gillespie left, I could handle it as he is very injury prone
Odejayi left, I could handle it as he didn't score many
Vincent left, I was gutted but again injury prone
Today Magnus and Williams both leave, I was prepared for this and was still trying to stay positive
Now I read izzets re-signed!
We've got an abundance of midfielders already, the only bloke we've brought in is a midfielder and then we go and re-sign izzet!
Also an jw please never talk about contract deadlines as no player can take him seriously as kem, Magnus and Ben all went well over, if you set deadlines keep to them!
I'm just waiting for the next signings of Emberson, crawley, addcock and sale.

Why has he resigned?? He showed last season that he was becoming unfit, should have left after his testimonial game.

We all have opinions and we should all respect each others: my point being Parkinson, Williams, Lambert, Boothroyd & now Ward all played Izzet. All pros why are they all fans of Izzet and so many on here not??? Perhaps it is as simple as the pros know & see a lot more than we do????
