So why didn't you just live off your considerable assets (it's your right, you've earned them)? My uncle is a successful businessman. In the early 70s he got sacked from the leccy board 'cos he was nicking stuff. So he set himself up as a market trader, and it seems the sort of attitude that led to his dismissal, served him well in the market place. By the late 70s he owned shops across Essex. These days, he lives in Thailand for the cold six months of the year. That's your tycoon success, not ending up an old man being sacked as a van driver, for being a racist thug.
By the way, I hate riots. Unlike you, I don't think violence - or threats of violence - are positive.
Just to be clear, when I say market trader, I mean barrow boy, with bits of tat, not the likes of Diamond!"

Izzet ready to sign new contract with Colchester

Sign on the dotted line - U's midfielder Kem Izzet is expected to sign his new contract at Colchester United in the next few days. Sign on the dotted line - U's midfielder Kem Izzet is expected to sign his new contract at Colchester United in the next few days.

Kem Izzet is on the verge of signing his new contract with Colchester United.

The U’s skipper is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal with the U’s “within the next few days”.

Izzet, 31, sees his current deal at the Weston Homes Community Stadium expire this summer.

However, the long-serving midfielder was offered a new contract by Colchester in April.

Like Ward, Izzet has recently been away on holiday, which has delayed the process of him committing his future to the U’s.

However, he is now back at the club he has served for more than 11 years and is ready to sign on the dotted line.

Izzet said: “I’m not too far off signing my new contract.

“Hopefully, it should all be done in the next few days.”
