Magnus in the dark over exit rumours

Magnus Okuonghae insists he is in the dark over rumours linking him with a move away from Colchester United in this month’s transfer window.

The U’s defender, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is said to be interesting the likes of Burnley, Crystal Palace and Millwall, according to reports.

Okuonghae was the subject of a bid from Charlton Athletic last summer, which was turned down by Colchester.

However, the Addicks are said to have retained their interest in the 25-year-old, who joined Colchester from Dagenham and Redbridge, in 2009.

Okuonghae, who has missed just three league games for the U’s so far this season, said he is concentrating purely on his football.

Okuonghae said: “I just want to play football and haven’t heard anything.

“I haven’t spoken to anyone at Colchester United about any speculation.”

What a load of rubbish. Of course Magnus is aware of who is interested in him. After all, it is the responsibility of his agent to inform him of any interest, and it is apparently Ipswich and Crystal Palace who lead the way. After his recent comments about the fans' lack of 'positivity', perhaps he should look closer to home for the answers to that dilemma in his own performance and that of his colleagues on Saturday. In order not to stir a can of worms, I will not deliberate the subject further. Up the U's!!
