Colchester United played out a 0-0 draw with Morecambe, on Saturday afternoon.

The U's were unable to find a way past the Shrimps and are now four points off the League Two play-off places.

The result sees Colchester slip to 12th in the table and John McGreal’s men host Lincoln City, on Tuesday night.

U’s keeper played his part in clean sheet and made good save to deny Wildig just before half-time.

TOM EASTMAN 7

Showed good attacking intent and defended well before being replaced late on.

RYAN INNISS 8

U’s man of the match. A towering and dominant presence at both ends of the pitch.

FRANKIE KENT 7

A solid display aside from one blip, a sloppy backpass that resulted in Walker denying Wildig.

RYAN JACKSON 6

Provided some dangerous deliveries but was not utilised as much as he might have been.

BRANDON COMLEY 7

Neat and tidy in possession and tenacious in the tackle before being substituted.

TOM LAPSLIE 6

Returned to the U’s side as captain to produce another committed display.

KANE VINCENT-YOUNG 6

A hard-working performance at left wing-back and showed attacking endeavour.

SAMMIE SZMODICS 6

Completed his first 90 minutes for nearly two months but chances were limited.

MIKAEL MANDRON 7

Was unlucky not to score with a header early on and worked tirelessly.

BRANDON HANLAN 6

Went close with a first-half deflected effort but was well marshalled by the visitors.
