Colchester United were impressive 2-0 winners over Mansfield Town on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Sean Murray and Mikael Mandron gave the U's all three points at the Weston Homes Community Stadium to help the U's secure back-to-back wins in League Two for the first time, this season.
The result sees Colchester move up to 15th in the League Two table, and John McGreal’s men host Carlisle United, next weekend.
Here, Colchester United reporter Jonathan Waldron rates the players in the eye-catching 2-0 home win:

SAM WALKER 7

Denied Rose and MacDonald to help U’s keep a second successive clean sheet.

RYAN JACKSON 8

Another impressive display by the U’s right-back in both defence and attack.

RYAN INNISS 8

Won numerous headers and was a rock at the heart of the U’s defence.

FRANKIE KENT 7

U’s stand-in skipper led the team well; switched to left-back briefly after Vincent-Young’s injury.

KANE VINCENT-YOUNG 6

U’s left-back had his involvement cut short by an injury after 20 minutes.

DREY WRIGHT 8

Switched to left wing-back effectively when Reid went off and was impressive throughout.

SEAN MURRAY 8

An impressive afternoon for the midfielder – scored one goal and made another.

DOUG LOFT 8

U’s man of the match. Showed class and regularly unlocked the Mansfield defence.

KYEL REID 7

Provided the assist for Murray’s goal and also missed a good chance before that.

MIKAEL MANDRON 8

Took his headed goal extremely well and caused Mansfield problems throughout. Booked.

BRANDON HANLAN 7

Curled a shot wide early on and looked sharp in first half before fading a little.

Was tidy in possession in the second half and helped the U’s see out victory.

NICKE KABAMBA (for Hanlan, 81) 6
