Colchester United finished 2016 on a high following a superb 4-2 victory at Stevenage at the Lamex.
The U's extended their unbeaten run in League Two to six matches, thanks to a fine win following goals from Brennan Dickenson, Kurtis Guthrie and substitutes Chris Porter and Tarique Fosu.
Colchester went ahead in the 15th minute through Dickenson, who headed in from Owen Garvan’s corner.
And four minutes later, the U’s doubled their lead when Guthrie netted from the penalty spot after being brought down in the area by Stevenage keeper Jamie Jones.
Stevenage got back into the contest six minutes before the break through Ben Kennedy, who headed home from Steve Schmacher’s free-kick.
And Colchester found themselves pegged back seven minutes after the break when Matt Godden capitalised on George Elokobi’s attempted clearance to fire home an equaliser for Stevenage.
But Porter gave Colchester a 3-2 lead with nine minutes remaining when he steered home Richard Brindley’s effort from inside the six-yard box.
And Fosu lashed home after Porter had picked him out in stoppage-time, to wrap up a fine victory for the U's who have now secured three successive wins.
