Colchester United manager Tony Humes has paid tribute to non-league outfit Wealdstone following the U's 6-2 FA Cup triumph.
The Stones hosted one of their biggest games in recent years when the National League South side entertained the U's in the first-round tie.
Wealdstone were level at 2-2 at half-time before Colchester showed their class in the second half, scoring four times to win the tie on a rain-sodden pitch.
Humes said: “It was a great tie for Wealdstone – they were great hosts to us and offered great hospitality.
“They worked really hard to get the game on and it was a great atmosphere throughout.
“Credit to them and the conditions played their part in an exciting cup-tie."
