Colchester United’s under-21s will attempt to consolidate their lead at the top of Professional Development League Two this afternoon.
John McGreal’s youngsters travel to play Coventry City, hoping to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches (kick-off 1pm).
Colchester’s under-21s have been in fine form of late, securing six wins out of a possible seven and thrashing Barnsley 4-1, last week.
However, it is likely to be a younger under-21 team that plays against the Sky Blues, with the first team playing Bradford City in League One tomorrow night.
Full-back Michael O’Donoghue could make a long-awaited comeback after ten months out with a serious knee injury.
