David Fox will stay at Colchester United until the end of the season after agreeing a new short-term deal with the club.
The experienced playmaker, whose short-term deal expired this week, has agreed a new contract that will keep him with the U’s for a further four months.
Fox, who has been skippering Colchester in the absence of Magnus Okuonghae, has been a regular since returning to the club on a free transfer last October.
The 31-year-old has made 15 league and cup appearances for the U's in his second spell with the club.
Fox said: “I’m here until the end of the season and hopefully we can finish the season with a good run of results."
