DAVID Fox admits the entire Colchester squad are now playing for their places after their 6-0 thrashing at MK Dons.
U’s boss Tony Humes made it abundantly clear to his players after the heavy defeat at stadiummk that no-one’s place is guaranteed, after the club suffered their heaviest league loss since 1993.
Colchester’s players will report at Florence Park this morning, where they will begin their preparations for their FA Cup second round clash with Peterborough United, this Sunday.
And midfielder Fox, who skippered the U’s at MK Dons for the first time since returning to the club on a short-team deal last month, says they will all have to earn their place in the side for the Posh clash.
Fox said: “The manager told it how it was and said there were no excuses."
