U's youngsters share the spoils with Lions (From Gazette)

Well done guys, at least there is one team that looks good. Maybe the senior team needs some of the youngsters in it.

After a terrible start, the youngsters got organised and played some lovely fluent passing football; dominating much of the game as regards possession. Did remind me of what Eastmond and Watt once brought to the First XI before their injuries.

But unfortunately, some were a little out-muscled and out jumped by Millwall and too often second best in 50/50 tackles. Hence, whilst we had loads of quality possession, it perhaps didn't deliver quite what it deserved. Super game to watch, and 2-2 a fair result, although loads of missed chances by both.

However, the only players that look physically strong enough for a possible immediate first team berth are the ones that we already know, and whom Joe Dunne is already blooding, like Drey Wright and Alex Gilby. However, Ben Coker, whom I believe was also deemed necessary of 'bulking up' did look stronger and hence is offering promise once again, and Jackson Ramm is one to watch.

In summary, I feel that we need to look to the transfer window rather than youth for any immediate solutions, but the future is definitely brighter. These lads will inevitably grow physically and mentally stronger.
