Morrison will not celebrate if he scores against Sky Blues

Morrison will not celebrate if he scores against Sky Blues
CLINTON Morrison has vowed not to celebrate if he ends his goal-scoring drought against former club Coventry City.
The former Republic of Ireland striker has only netted once all season and would love to double his tally in tonight’s League One showdown against the Sky Blues.
However, he has “too much respect” for the visitors to celebrate in front of their travelling fans at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
“They were good to me,” said Morrison, who scored 23 goals in his time at the Ricoh Arena, between August 2008 and July 2010.
“I always had a good relationship with them and certainly won’t celebrate if I score tonight.
“I’ve got too much respect for them to do that."

Lovely man but still talking his way into the ref's book
But all's fair in love and war, so we won't argue about your 3 points. We shall just hope for better luck next time.

His substitute performances in the last two home games have shown just how slow he is and lacking in ball-control.
His presence has been marked merely by a flurry of free-kicks, mostly against him.
Maybe he needs a short loan spell somewhere with a regular run of games?

10:55pm Tue 20 Nov 12>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi Boris lovely to hear from you and crazy again takes me back to when we had some good banter when your club conned us into buying Clive and AB .It does appear that we were fortunate with the second goal last night.I have always maintained that the fans see more than the referee as they only need to concentrate on one area unlike the poor old ref.Great to see the quality of the posts on here where in the main the fans treat each other with respect unlike our paper which is dominated by trolls and ferals. It is for that reason that I have shunned it. I sincerely hope that Utd. pull away but it does appear that you need to do some repair work in the defence. You were unfortunate to meet City when Mark Robins has got them organised and playing some decent football.Strange how a change of manager can turn things around. When you had Paul Lambert you were flying as were Norwich yet look at him at the Villa now.Of course we won't weep any tears for him as it was the Villa who relegated us from the premier.Best of luck to you and your club Bill

I have just checked the 27 comments on the CET story "Mark Robins hails Coventry City" and most of them read just like the comments here after Joe Dunne's first few matches in charge of the U's. You even seem to have the same problem as us, that for your home matches, the stadium is only one-third full. Only difference is that Coventry is a lot bigger than Colchester, so you are disappointed when only 10,000 show up.
Someone has written "Good result, but still overly reliant on favourable refs and the blinding form of DM", I hope for your sake you manage to hold on to McGoldrick, who apparently broke an 87-year-old club record against us. But I also hope there is a better ref when you next play us, in March.

It is quite flattering for us in little old Colchester to read that Coventry City reporters regard a routine league game against Col U as a "Big Match".
