Clinton Morrison is desperate to play his part in Colchester United’s surge up the table.

And the experienced U’s striker has been putting in extra hours in training in an attempt to force his way into Joe Dunne’s revitalised side.

Morrison is back in the Colchester squad for their game at Shrewsbury Town this weekend, after completing his three-match suspension.

Good luck Clinton I think we might need you next Saturday because I doubt Jabo will be allowed to play in the cup by MK Dons.

He didn't give that impression at the Stevenage game. He sat in the box on his mobile phone the whole game and showed no interest in the game, no emotion or support for his team mates.
He's just a player picking up a wage at the end of a poor career.

OK fair enough but its action not words if/when he gets on then. It would be great for JD to have that type of selection problem

I think Clinton can and will do a job for Colchester. Lets face it jabo will be back in the mk side after new year unless they are stark raving mad, so we need Clinton fit and ready.

Nice to see that the U's actually have attacking options now. Being the in-form team of the division at the moment we seem very hard to defend against. I'm finding it increasingly hard to not look at the play off positions. Three points up for grabs tomorrow.
Up the U's!

I agree with the comment from Wardyt. Morrison was never special but he got goals earlier in his career but is now not good enough o hungry enough. Far too arrogant for me. Although Massey is a shocking striker in my opinion too. Wish we would look in the conference for young hungry goal machines. Good Luck tomorrow lads, its nice not having to moan every week!!!!

It is really nice to have such a wide range of strikers at our disposal.

Morrison does have a place in this squad and I am sure he will work hard enough to stay in the team once he is given some starts. Jabo is outstanding and fully deserves his place up front. Even Morrison must recognise this.

I happen to think he might link up well with Sanchez Watt. I noticed that Watt put a few balls across the 6 yard box in recent games and even though Eastmond scored one of them, Morrison is about the only guy in the squad that would get on the end of the cross every time.

For once, I totally agree with you. I rate Morrison, as he rarely misses a target. I feel that with the new look and style of the squad, Clinton will score quite a lot of goals.
