U's face Essex derby in FA Cup
1:45pm Sunday 21st October 2012 in Sport By Jonathan Waldron
Cup of cheer? Joe Dunne will face non-league opponents in his first-ever FA Cup match as U's boss.
Colchester United will travel to play either Chelmsford City or East Thurrock United in the first round of this season's FA Cup.
The U's face an Essex derby against a non-league side, after the draw was made this lunchtime.
Chelmsford and East Thurrock will replay on Tuesday night, following the 2-2 draw between the two sides yesterday.
The tie will take place over the weekend of November 3.

Crazy: You can probably imagine we've never been more in agreement, and that doesn't happen too often. City were pretty poor yesterday, they will need to improve on Tuesday evening, if my dream tie is going to come about.

With all due respect to East Thurrock, City are the bigger club, with great potential, and a very solid, lively, fan base. Chelmsford City v Colchester United is a mouth watering prospect, it would surely be the tie of the round?
