Confusion surrounds Bullard signing

A NON-LEAGUE football team are still hopeful of signing former Premier League star Jimmy Bullard.

Holland FC hoped a deal had been struck to recruit the ex-Wigan, Hull, Fulham and Ipswich Town midfielder.

It was thought he would be available to make sporadic appearances for the club’s first team, in addition to helping out with some coaching.

However, Bullard appeared on national radio yesterday afternoon and denied suggestions he was joining the Kent Blaxill Essex & Suffolk Border League side.

Nevertheless, Holland chairman Mark Sorrell said: “I’m still hopeful something can be sorted."
