Colchester United are not ruling out a summer move for former hot-shot Kevin Lisbie.

Lisbie - who has had two spells with the U’s - is a free agent at the end of the season.

The 32-year--old, who has spent the current campaign on loan at Championship side Millwall, will not be offered a new contract by Ipswich Town.

Lisbie hit 30 goals in 74 league starts for Colchester and played for them under former boss Aidy Boothroyd, last season.

And U’s assistant manager Joe Dunne said the experienced striker could be one of a number of players they look to sign.

Dunne said: “Kevin Lisbie is a goalscorer - he’s scored goals wherever he’s been.

“He could be a player we look at along with 50 other clubs, because of what he does.

“He’ll have no shortage of clubs looking at him but he’s probably one of many players we would look at.”

Lisbie has been ruled out for the rest of the season after damaging ankle ligaments in the Lions’ win over Leeds United.

He has scored four goals in 11 starts for the Lions, this season.
