John Ward has urged his Colchester United players to go in for the kill at Walsall tomorrow.
The U’s manager wants his unbeaten team to discover their predatory instinct, following a spate of costly late equalisers.
Colchester have conceded goals in the closing stages in three of their opening four npower League One matches this season.
Ward has acknowledged that the late goals have prevented his side from being higher in the table.
However, he wants his team to also be more clinical at the other end of the pitch - starting with this weekend’s trip to Bescot Crescent.
Ward said: “It’s not just about conceding goals, it’s about killing teams off at the top end.
“I’m happy with our creativity but we probably haven’t finished enough of that creation off."
