Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane believes his new signings have a point to prove

New signings David Healy and Daryl Murphy have a point to prove at Ipswich Town.

That’s the view of boss Roy Keane (pictured), who expects the strikers to be “fresh and hungry”after their disappointments at Sunderland.

Both joined Town from the Black Cats on Monday, having endured frustrating seasons on Wearside.

Murphy has only started four games while Northern Ireland legend Healy has been restricted to just seven substitute appearances. Neither have managed a goal yet.

Keane said: “As soon as I spoke to them they were keen to come here."

Irish and from Sunderland, has Keane taken being patriotic too far? But nice to see that he is taking all Sunderland's dead wood and reducing their wage bill.
