Tamas Priskin will benefit from a change of scenery: Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane

Roy Keane believes a “change of scenery" will benefit Ipswich Town striker Tamas Priskin.

The Hungarian has joined Queens Park Rangers on loan for the rest of the season, although he cannot play in Tuesday's match between the sides at Loftus Road.

Keane moved to bolster his striking options this week by signing Sunderland pair David Healy and Daryl Murphy.

And of his decision to let Priskin go, he said: “With the two lads coming in it was a decision we had to make, to balance the books.

“I still think he's a talented player but maybe he just needs a change of scenery.

“Hopefully it will give him some confidence and we'll welcome him back at the end of the season.

“He's still learning his trade and he'll come back a stronger player.”

Town are at home to Middlesbrough on Saturday.
