Ipswich Town defender Pim Balkestein has gone on loan to Brentford.
The centre-half will spend the next month at Griffin Park.
“I've got Alex (Bruce) and Damien (Delaney) and with Gareth McAuley and Tommy Smith fit again, we gave Pim the opportunity to go and get some games,” said Town boss Roy Keane.
“It'll do him the world of good but we look forward to him coming back, obviously sharper for the benefits of playing league football.”
Keane added that there could be more transfer activity in the next few days.
“We're in discussions with one or two clubs about one or two of our players and I'll look at that in the next day or so," he said.
“We're thinking about bringing in one or two ourselves, so we'll see what happens.”
