Jamie Guy wants to quit Colchester United.
Having burst on to the scene in the U's inaugural season in the Coca-Cola Championship, the 20-year-old did not start a single game for the club during the last campaign.
And it now seems he feels his future lies away from north Essex.
Guy was yesterday banned from driving for 12 months and fined £400 and £75 costs after admitting charges of drink-driving and driving without insurance or a licence.
He was also fined £350 with £75 costs after admitting threatening behaviour, following a play-fight' in a Colchester car park.
Speaking outside Colchester Magistrates Court, Guy said: "I'm upset about what's happened, and it won't be happening again.
"I haven't really spoken to the club about it. I do not see myself at the club after this and I am looking to get away for a fresh start."
Guy's willingness to move to pastures new may interest the likes of Crewe Alexandra, who had been linked with a move for the striker last month.
Colchester manager Geraint Williams had earlier this summer gone on record stating his intention to keep the young striker.
Guy managed only a dozen substitute appearances for the first-team but injury played havoc with his season.
He was set to go out on loan in the January transfer window, but any move was scuppered by a troublesome Achilles injury.
U's boss Williams said: "The club do not condone Jamie's behaviour but has been sympathetic to his position and we will speak to him with a view to the best outcome for both Jamie and for the club."
