Colchester United chairman Robbie Cowling says having JobServe as their home and away shirt sponsors this season will give them a financial boost.

The U's have announced that the internet recruitment website, which Cowling founded along with John Witney in 1994, will adorn their jerseys for the forthcoming 2018-19 campaign.

It replaces previous shirt sponsors Weston Homes and follows hot on the heels of sponsorship of the Community Stadium.

Cowling told the U's website: “I said before how delighted I was to have JobServe sponsoring the Community Stadium, and now I am equally delighted to sponsor both the home and away shirts this season too.

"The shirt deal is great for Colchester United too, because financially it’s an increase on the previous home and away deals and it’s always preferable to have the same shirt sponsor on both home and away kits.

“They are also great looking shirts this season and I’m proud to have my company’s logo front and centre of them both."

The U's new kits will be on sale at the club's Open Day, which takes place on Sunday between 11am and 4pm.
