WIVENHOE racer Callum Hammett competed in the fourth round of the Ducati TriOptions Cup around the Snetterton 300 circuit in Norfolk.

Hammett placed the Old Garage Legends Racing-sponsored Ducati 26th on the grid with a time of two minutes 02.1 seconds.

As the lights went green for the first of his two races, he had a good start and moved up to 25th spot.

Lap three saw him pass the recovering Daniel Shaw (FML Motorsport) and Joe Connolly (Team Cyclestore), who he had been chasing down for the previous two laps.

Now running 23rd and pushing hard and at the same time he was being chased down by the recovering Shaw, who caught and passed him on lap three.

Hammett passed the retiring Ben Broadway (Broadway Racing) to remain in 23rd and re-passed Shaw on lap six to claim 22nd spot, where he remained until the chequered flag.

Race two saw Hammett start from 20th on the grid but he had a poor start and lost nine places by the end of the first lap.

Another place was gained on lap four when Sean Neary (Zoek racing Team) retired, before he passed Peter Hasler (AOR/Yesss Electrical Racing).

Hammett caught Bruce Stafford (JWF Motorsport) and passed him on lap seven and remained in 26th place until the chequered flag, on completion of ten laps.

Hammett will be in action again on July 20-22 around the Brand Hatch GP circuit, in Kent.
