EIGHT members of Colchester Swimming Club have qualified to swim at Swim England’s biggest domestic swimming event of the year.

This year’s National Summer Meet gets underway at Ponds Forge, Sheffield at the end of next month, with the very best swimmers at English-affiliated clubs who have not qualified for the British Swimming Summer Championships invited to compete.

Colchester SC head coach Michelle Young said: “The club is rightly very proud of this group of swimmers.

"They have bags of ability and it is a tremendous accomplishment to compete at this level.
