Blackwell grabs a late winner as Stanway pip Wivenhoe
JORDAN Blackwell grabbed a precious late winner as STANWAY ROVERS pipped neighbours WIVENHOE TOWN 1-0.
The north Essex rivals met in an eagerly-anticipated Thurlow Nunn League premier division derby at The Hawthorns on Friday night.
And just when it appeared the contest might finish goal-less, Wivenhoe lost possession in midfield, Stanway broke and Blackwell fired a low shot into the corner of the net to secure the bragging rights for Kem Izzet’s side.
