I KNOW I've been speaking a lot lately about big fights here and around the world and this week will be continuing the same theme.

The legendary Floyd Mayweather Jr is here on our shores this week as his super-featherweight charge Gervonta Davies defends his IBF world title against our very own Liam Walsh.

They’re both unbeaten and each exceptional talents so it’s going to be an amazing fight and yet another fantastic advert for boxing.

I urge you to tune in and watch tomorrow night, live on BT Sport.

Fighting on the same show at the Copper Box Arena in London will be my sparring partner, Anthony Yarde.

He’s challenging for the Southern Area light-heavyweight title against the champion, Chris Hobbs.

Yarde, 25, from Ilford, is an exceptional talent and he’s by far the best I’ve been in the ring with.

He's strong and powerful and his record backs that up – nine knockouts from ten bouts.

I'd like to wish him all the best in his title fight this weekend.

The title he’s going for, and likely to win in my opinion, is the one I'd like to get my hands on in the near future.

The Southern Area title is the oldest prize in British boxing history and steeped in prestige.

Winning that belt is what every fighter dreams of and it’s definitely within my plans.

First, I have to win my next fight on June 10 at London’s York Hall to claim the British Challenge light-heavyweight belt.

Winning that belt provides a stepping stone to landing an area title fight.

The British Board of Boxing Control want to see that a fighter can handle eight-rounds against a good opponent in order for them to be able to approve anyone as a challenger for an area belt.

I don’t expect to fight Anthony Yarde for it, should he win, as I would expect him to move straight on to bigger honours such as the English or British title.

That would mean the title will become vacant and there’s no shortage of good light-heavyweights out there at the moment.

There’ll be five others appearing on the same show as me in less than a month’s time – Adi Burden, Spiros Demetriou, Charlie Quinn – all unbeaten - plus Lucas Robinson and Sam Barron.

If you've been caught up in the recent boxing frenzy – the AJ fight at Wembley, Floyd Mayweather agreeing to fight Connor McGregor, GGG v Canelo – then buy a ticket for my fight on June 10 and experience the legendary York Hall atmosphere.
