BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent hope to glean their supporters' opinions and feedback at a special fans' forum.

It is taking place at North Road tomorrow night, getting underway at 7.30pm.

"It will be an informal meeting, to discuss help over the summer and to prepare for our first-ever season in the Ryman League premier division," said R's chairman Terry Doherty.

"All supporters are welcome and we'll also discuss any ideas or queries relating to the club and how we can best look after our growing fanbase."

Brightlingsea are preparing for their first-ever season at step three level, having being crowned division north champions last term.

The club's friendly pre-season schedule is almost complete and will be announced soon, with a couple of high-profile fixtures hopefully in the itinerary.

Skipper Matt Cripps, Tom Richardson and Connor Witherspoon have already put pen to paper on new deals, with more of their team-mates set to follow suit in the coming days.

"We're very pleased to retain the services of those three," added Doherty.

"More players have also agreed terms and we should be in a position to confirm that soon.

"In addition, a fair bit of work has already taken place around the ground, since the end of the season.

"We're in the process of putting in some covered terracing, behind the goal at the Regent Road end and also to the right of the dugouts by the new turnstile block leading into the ground from Kent Close."
