GYMNASTS from Hi-Tension Trampoline Club impressed in the National Development Plan (NDP) regional semi-final competition.

A total of 21 gymnasts from the club's competition squad qualified to compete at the NDP Regional Team Qualifier at the University of Cambridge.

They attempted to qualify for the prestigious NDP Regional Team Finals national competition at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham, in June.

A quartet of Hi-Tension gymnasts secured places for the Regional Team Finals. where they will represent the East Region.

And a further four achieved fourth places and are reserves for the East Region team, while two secured podium places but did not achieve the minimum 45.0 execution score required.

A team from Hi-Tension also won the NDP 1 Women’s 13+ category.

In the NDP 5 Women’s 13-14 category, Lily Patrick achieved won with a total score of 47.00, a whole mark ahead of the second-placed competitor.

Mia Gallant won the NDP 3 Women’s 11-12 category with a total score of 50.40, 1.20 marks ahead of the second-placed competitor.

In the NDP 2 Women’s 11-12 category, Annaliese Ashdown achieved second place with a total score of 49.00, while in the NDP 1 Women’s 13+ section, Chantelle Watts was second with a total score of 49.40.

Amber Bradley was fourth in the NDP 4 Women’s 13-14 category with a total score of 48.00, just 0.2 marks behind the second-placed competitor.

In the NDP 2 Women’s 11-12 category, Daisy Loyd achieved fourth place with a total score of 47.70.

Alana Hornsby achieved 49.00 and fourth place in the NDP 1 Women’s 11-12 category while in the 13+ Women’s group Kate Frost also achieved fourth spot with a total score of 47.90.

All of the gymnasts who secured places in the East Region Team or who are reserves also achieved a minimum of 70 per cent in their the Range and Conditioning routines.

In the NDP 5 Women’s 11-12 category, Freya Williams was second with a total score of 44.30 which just fell short of the 45.00 execution total required.

Henry Greenhill was first in the NDP 1 Men’s 11-12 category with a total score of 44.90, just 0.10 marks away from the 45.00 threshold to qualify for the Eastern Region team.

A team from Hi-Tension which included Chantelle Watts, Kate Frost and Mathilda Bland also won team gold in the NDP 13+ Women category.

In the NDP 2 Women’s 13+ category, the Hi-Tension team consisting of Daisy Loyd, Evie Loyd and Lois Pilgrim came second.
