STOKE by Nayland Golf Club is set to host a wealth of young international talent during a busy October.

The club are hosting two top-class international events and spectators are welcome to watch both free of charge.

The WPGA International Challenge will be returning to Stoke by Nayland for a fourth successive year, from October 6 to 8.

The 54-hole competition is part of the LET Access Series and will have a field of around 100 women professionals from all over Europe who will be competing for a 30,000 euro prize fund.

One of the local shining stars in action will be outstanding amateur player Lily Humphrey.

Roly Hitchcock, head teaching professional at Stoke by Nayland, has coached the 14-year-old through the England Golf East Region squad for the last two years.

Humphrey has already won an impressive collection of silverware.

She has played in Home Internationals for England, European Team Championships and won bronze in the European Youths Championship.

She also won the English Girls' under-14s in 2015, the English Girls' under-16s in 2016, the Fairhaven National Tournament and the North of England under-16s on -15 par score.

Winning the Liphook Scratch trophy enabled her to qualify in 15th place for England Golf OOM and to win a place to play in the LETAS Tour at Stoke by Nayland.

The week after the LETAS event, former Ryder Cup captain Sir Nick Faldo and around 90 brilliant young golfers, aged 13 to 21, from all over the world, will be hosted by Stoke by Nayland for the three days from October 11 to 13 for the final of the Nick Faldo World Series.

The Series will be celebrating its 20th anniversary at this family-owned venue with a gala dinner on the final night.
