FC CLACTON powered to a 7-2 victory in tonight’s pre-season friendly at coastal rivals Holland FC.
Skipper Aaron Condon and new signing Ben Parkin both netted twice for the Seasiders and there were also goals for Kevin Coyle, Adam Daniels and Billy Wales.
Steve Eaton and ex-Clacton player Kalon Harms scored the Holland goals.
Condon gave his side the lead from the penalty spot, after a foul in the area on Coyle.
Coyle then doubled the lead with a free-kick from 20 yards.
Eaton reduced the arrears shortly before half-time, not long after Wayne Chapman had hit the bar for Clacton.
However, David Coyle’s side were 3-1 up early in the second half when Parkin converted at the far post after good work by Wales.
Parkin soon made it four, before Daniels’ got the last touch on a ball in from the left to make it 5-1.
Condon’s headed goal made it six, before Harms scored against his old side to pull one back for Holland.
However, Clacton soon added a seventh thanks to a very cool finish from Wales.
