CLACTON'S bowlers edged closer to the Premier League title following 8-0 victories against Happy Valley and Brightlingsea B.
With four games to go, they have a 12-point lead over Frinton A.
And by coincidence, their next game is away to their coast rivals.
Clacton’s Stanford League side won 8-0 at Happy Valley.
In the Windsor League, Clacton A won 8-2 at home to Brightlingsea, while Clacton B won by the same score at Thorpe.
In the Frank Greenaway Trophy, Clacton lost 3-1 to Dovercourt.
In the ladies’ Tendring Hundred League, Clacton A lost 4-2 at home to Thorpe C.
Clacton B were also at home, winning 6-0 at home to Dovercourt A.
