Colchester United have parted company with defender Ben Gordon.
The left-back is now a free agent having left the U’s, despite having a year remaining on his contract.
The Daily Gazette reported on Monday that the U's were willing to listen to offers for the defender.
And he has now been given the chance to look for football elsewhere, after his contract was cancelled.
Gordon joined Colchester from Scottish Premier League side Ross County, last summer.
The former Chelsea defender started the U’s first 12 games but did not feature in the final two months of last season.
And last month’s arrival of Matthew Briggs on a permanent basis has meant that Gordon is now surplus to requirements, at the U’s.
