HARWICH and Dovercourt Golf Club held their well-attended AGM.
Outgoing captain Rod Osborne gave his report, after a minute’s silence for members and past members who had passed away in the last year.
He said he had had a very happy and successful year, with much support from his vice-captain, committee and members.
He was proud to say that, as a result of fund-raising, a total of almost £5,000 had been raised, of which almost £2,500 went to his charities, Parkinson’s UK and McMillan Nurses.
After president Tony Armstrong’s address, in addition to some details of the club bursary, came the election of new captain Gus Hales.
