CLACTON and District Bowls Club won by 27 points in their Mason Trophy contest against Jacks Centre B.
They won 20-17 at home and 31-7 away, so 51-24 overall.
The home team consisted of Jackie Flatman, Sheila Sargeant, Roni Simpson and skip Marcelle Hagger, while the away team was Audrey De’Ath, Pauline Swift, Marilyn Butler and skip Marilyn Crane.
Clacton are now into the last 16 and next play Chigwell Bowling Club.
Meanwhile, in the men’s over-60s County League, Clacton A won 36-30 at Southend A, Clacton B prevailed 73-22 at Southend B and Clacton C triumphed 61-35 at the Jacks Centre.
Clacton D, meanwhile, lost 42-38 at Walton.
In a friendly match, Clacton beat Maldon 145-99, with their top rink consisting of Dave Bexley, Linda Daniels, John Burnett and Ron Cudby.
Clacton beat Thameside Wanderers by 137 points to 98.
Their top rink was Arthur Newell, Irene Whitehead, Dennis Frizzell and Cheryl Gaynor.
Clacton beat Happy Valley 137-98 and their top rink was Tracy Kinton, Terry Greenwald, Ron Smith and Jan Brown.
