Tendring Volleyball Club are gearing up for what could prove another historic season.
The Frinton-based side begin both their men’s and women’s National League campaigns on Sunday.
The men’s team are in division one action at Birmingham while their women’s outfit travel to Herts.
Both have promotion in their sights as they set out to trump last season’s achievements – regarded as the best and most successful in the club’s history.
“It could be another amazing year,” said chairman and men’s coach Alex Porter.
“Last year was the best in our club’s history, with the women gaining promotion and the men going so close to the winning promotion to the Super 8s (the top division of English volleyball).
“We lost out in the play-off but it was still a big achievement to get so close.
“Hopefully this year both sides can have more success and it’s very realistic that both could gain promotion.”
