Colchester and East Essex Cricket Club captain Ben Stephens says he is delighted with the way his side have started the new season.

But he has stressed the Castle Park side are not getting carried away, despite their impressive early form in Shepherd Neame Essex League division one.

Colchester head to Buckhurst Hill tomorrow for their latest league fixture in confident mood, having completed a hat-trick of victories last weekend.

They currently sit at the top of the table, following an excellent seven-wicket triumph over previously unbeaten Hutton last Saturday.
