ALI Carter has not given up on his dream of being crowned world champion.

Carter, who grew up in Tiptree, gets his Crucible campaign under way on Saturday night.

He has reached the final twice, only to fall short against five-time reigning world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan.

“I still feel I can win it one day and if I didn’t have that belief there wouldn’t be any point turning up," he said.
