FC CLACTON fought back from two-down to secure a dramatic 2-2 draw at home to Tendring rivals Brightlingsea Regent tonight.
Regent, who moved second in the Thurlow Nunn League premier division table as a result, had built a commanding lead thanks to goals from Kevin Coyle and Terry Rymer.
Coyle fired home after Jake Holman’s shot cannoned back off the bar, following a throw from Josh Gould.
Rymer then doubled the lead in the second half, letting fly with a brilliant volley that flew over goalkeeper Joe Fowler.
However, Aaron Condon started Clacton’s comeback with a confident finish from the penalty spot, after a trip on substitute Jake Clowsley.
And in-form striker Tom Holdstock fired home an unstoppable effort from the edge of the box two minutes later to snatch a deserved point for the Seasiders.
