BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent’s FA Vase showdown at Dunston UTS has been postponed.
The eagerly-awaited last-16 tie was always in doubt, following this week’s wet weather and more rain forecast today.
Dunston officials inspected their pitch first thing and decided to call the game off.
The tie has now been rearranged for next Saturday.
The postponement is a real blow for Regent, who were due to set off on their long journey north at 10am.
Another double-decker coach of fans was then due to follow tomorrow morning.
Regent are set to return to Thurlow Nunn League premier division action on Tuesday night, at home to Thetford.
