Dunne unhappy with decision to switch Swindon game
Colchester United manager Joe Dunne admits he is unhappy with the controversial decision to move his side’s game at Swindon Town to tomorrow night.
The Colchester United Supporters Association have criticised the Football League’s decision to rearrange the fixture at the County Ground at short notice.
The game had originally been scheduled for this Saturday.
But it was brought forward 24 hours, after the U’s and the Football League agreed to sanction Swindon’s request to play the game on Valentine’s night.
The Robins wanted the match moved after their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy area final second leg with Peterborough United was switched to Monday (February 17), for television coverage.
However, the switch was only officially confirmed last Friday, leaving many U’s supporters who had already spent money to travel on the original date out of pocket.
