Dominic Vose is getting better and better the more he plays for Colchester United, according to boss Joe Dunne.

The 20-year-old impressed in Colchester's 4-0 thrashing of Stevenage on Boxing Day and played a big part in Craig Eastmond's first goal.

Vose has enjoyed a run in the U's side having joined them on a short-term contract in November.

And although he believes there is still room for improvement from the former West Ham United academy player, U's boss Dunne is happy with what he is seeing.

Dunne said: “Dominic is getting better as the games go on.

“There’s still a lot that we need to speak about.

“There were little parts of the Stevenage game when he needs to learn that unless we have possession of the ball, we don’t want him picking up because it leaves us open to a counter attack.

“But generally I think his energy and enthusiasm to learn the game and want to play in a technical game is great for us all."
