Colchester United manager Joe Dunne hailed a "wonderful" victory for his side after they thrashed Stevenage 4-0 at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The U's recorded back to back wins, thanks to goals from Craig Eastmond (2), Jabo Ibehre and Blair Turgott, who scored his first-ever senior goal.

It was Dunne's biggest win as a manager, leaving the Colchester boss unsurprisingly happy.

Dunne said: "It was a wonderful victory and I'm delighted for everybody.

"Other than the result, there were a lot of other good things to take from it.

"We moved the ball around with a belief and a confidence on what was a really difficult pitch.

"It was a mature and professional performance, like it was at Oldham.

"It's very difficult to get back to back wins in League One, as we found out here against Notts County not so long ago.

"The two clean sheets have been very pleasing as was the fact that we kept passing throughout."
