STANWAY ROVERS stormed back to winning ways with a 3-1 success at home to Diss Town.
Angelo Harrop’s side have endured a patchy spell of Thurlow Nunn League form, failing to win in their previous four premier division fixtures.
However, they bounced back with an important victory at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
Jamie Beecham scored twice, with assistant manager Danny Slatter also netting.
Elsewhere, it was a miserable day for FC CLACTON and WIVENHOE TOWN.
Goalkeeper Joe Fowler and Jake Plane were both sent off for the Seasiders.
It was little better for Wivenhoe, who lost 3-0 at home to Newmarket Town.
The Dragons had been hoping to build on last week’s fantastic 1-0 victory at Ely City – their first on the road since the 2011/12 campaign.
However, Newmarket were one-up at half-time and added a couple more in the second period.
Peter Maina was shown a red card late on.
HALSTEAD TOWN were left without a fixture following the postponement of their division one match at Great Yarmouth.
BRAINTREE TOWN RESERVES drew 1-1 at home to March Town United.
