U's striker will benefit from loan move, says Dunne
Freddie Ladapo's loan move to Woking will benefit both Colchester United and the player, according to manager Joe Dunne.
The young striker has moved to the Skrill Premier side on a one-month loan deal and Dunne feels the switch can be as beneficial for Ladapo as it was for Alex Gilbey at Newport County, at the end of last season.
Dunne said: "It will help us and it will certainly help Freddie. “We had the opportunity to send Freddie to a Conference South club.
“But we just felt that the standard of going into the Skrill Premier gave him an opportunity to play.
“Garry (Hill) will keep Freddie motivated.
“It’s another opportunity for a young player we have who’s bubbling under the surface.
“It’s the right time for him to go out on loan, as it was for Alex (Gilbey)."
