6:38pm Saturday 17th August 2013 in Sport
FC Clacton got their FA Cup campaign off to a great start with a 3-1 win.
Goals from Aaron Condon, Ray Turner and Jake Clowsley gave them their extra-preliminary round win.
Brightlingsea Regent will have to do it all again as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Kirkley and Pakefield.
The visitors got off to a great start when Kevin Hughes gave them the lead after three minutes.
The home side equalised on 55 minutes but it looked like Ricky Griggs had won the game for Regent when he scored with seven minutes to go.
But Pakefield spoiled the party by scoring in the dying minutes.
Wivenhoe Town will also need a replay as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Ipswich Wanderers.
Stanway Rovers were also held to a 0-0 draw and will have to face Clapton again to decide who goes through to the next round.
Halstead Town’s run in the FA Cup came to an abrupt end when they were beaten 5-0 at Great Wakering Rovers.
