In-form Colchester United striker Freddie Sears has warned League One defenders that his best is yet to come.
Sears has been in electric form for the U’s over recent weeks and has scored four times in his last five games.
The former West Ham United forward bagged Colchester’s crucial winner in their 1-0 win over Preston North End, last weekend.
And Sears, who is the U’s top goalscorer with seven goals this season, says he has plenty more to offer.
Sears said: “I’m feeling good at the minute.
“I’m playing where I want to be playing and I’m getting more game time, which is the most important thing.
“I think it’s fair to say I’m playing as well at the moment as I have in my career.
“It’s probably the most consistent I’ve been and the best run I’ve had.
“I still think I have more to come, though."
