Joe Dunne wants to raid the transfer market after losing patience with his defenders.
The Colchester United boss will meet with chairman Robbie Cowling, with a view to bringing in fresh blood.
Dunne was angry with the manner of the two goals the U’s conceded, in their 2-0 home defeat against Notts County.
He is now contemplating adding to his squad, in a bid to cut out Colchester’s defensive mistakes.
Dunne said: “The Notts County game was the last straw and I need to bring in more competition for the defence."
