Rose - skippering the U's was an "honour"

Leading the way - Michael Rose captained Colchester United for the first time in their 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury Town.
Michael Rose admitted it came as a pleasant surprise to be handed the captain’s armband for Colchester United at Greenhous Meadow.
The attacking left-back skippered the U’s in their 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury Town, in the absence of Kem Izzet and Anthony Wordsworth.
It marked a significant turnaround in fortunes for the former Manchester United trainee, who managed only a dozen league starts for the U’s last season.
Rose said: “It came as a surprise to be named captain and it was an honour for me."
