Snow reprieve

COLCHESTER avoided the worst of the snow as the UK continues to suffer from freezing temperatures.

Schools across the region are expected to return today after heavy snow and sheet ice forced many to close.

Main roads have been gritted and are currently running smoothly, but many side roads, pavements and footpaths have once again frozen over.

Residents and commuters are advised to travel with caution while temperatures struggle to rise above 1 degree today.

I would like to say welll done to the dustman and postman who carried on delivering their services through this winter snap. We need to get used to it because the golf stream is moving away as the ice caps melt which is the only thing that stops us from getting winters the same as Moscow which is only 3ish degrees north of Colchester

ECC came to grit our hill last night. First time ever. Bit bloody late now, isn't it!

Colchester did not avoid the worst of the snow. Is the person who wrote the article blind? Colchester is suffering from freezing temperatures too!
