Josh Hutcherson hopes fans of The Hunger Games will be satisfied with the upcoming movie.
The 19-year-old stars as Peeta Mellark in Gary Ross' big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' best-sellers, alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson and Lenny Kravitz.
"There are a lot of people who this book means so much to, but this movie means a lot to me as well. We all did the best job we could possibly do with it, and I think that's going to be a really great movie," he said.
"I had a great time, and I'm very excited to see it all come together. Gary, our director and writer, did an amazing job of working with Suzanne in making the book into an amazing movie, so I'm really excited about it. I'm excited to see what they think about it, because it's going to be great."
Josh - who currently stars in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island alongside Vanessa Hudgens and SIR Michael Caine - was surprised when some fans decided to pay a visit to the set.
"They showed up at my hotel randomly, when I was in North Carolina filming, which was interesting," he recalled.
"They said they drove from Florida to come and say hi, and I was like, 'Thank God I'm here', because it would have been really awful if I wasn't. That was a little weird."
The Hunger Games will open in cinemas on March 23.
